We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.
Our practice provide the following services:
Practice Nurses
Our practice nurses are happy to help you with any problem for which you may wish to see her. Please attend for cervical smears when called.
All childhood immunisations and travel vaccinations; ear syringing as appropriate; dressing changes and removal of stitches are undertaken by the nurses.
If you have been advised by the surgery to complete a travel risk assessment, you will need to complete our travel risk assessment form.
Preventative medicine
We feel that it is important to encourage our patients to remain as healthy as possible.
In conjunction with our practice nurses we encourage prevention and proper control of conditions such as:
- Asthma – If you have been advised by the surgery to complete a review of your asthma, you will need to complete our Asthma review form.
- COPD – If you have been advised by the surgery to complete a review of your COPD, you will need to complete our COPD assessment form.
- Coronary heart disease
- Diabetes
- Stroke
- Epilepsy – You have been advised by the surgery to complete a review of your epilepsy, if so you will need to complete our Epilepsy review form.
- Thyroid disease
- Cancer
- Mental health
Child health surveillance
Services are run in accordance with the NHS guidelines. Our practice nurses run a immunisation clinic each Thursday for all your children’s recommended immunisations.
Antenatal
This service is provided by the attached midwife and the doctor.
Ante-natal clinics run on alternate Wednesdays.
Family planning
Advice on all forms of contraception is available from both the doctor and nurses including insertion of coils and morning after pill.
If you have been advised by the surgery to complete a review of your contraception, you will need to complete our contraception pill review form.
Minor surgery
The doctor is qualified to undertake minor surgery and may decide to give soft tissue and joint injection when indicated.
We also offer:
- Wart clinics
- Cauterize appropriate small skin lesions
- Removal of lumps and bumps under local anaesthesia.
